- Pink Toe Tarantulas are one of the few tarantula species that can be found living in close proximity to humans — in their native South America, they’re sometimes found in the thatched roofs of homes where they help control insects!
- Unlike ground-dwelling tarantulas, Avicularia species have specialized foot pads called scopulae that allow them to grip smooth vertical surfaces — they can walk up glass!
